    • Coconut oil is used in this recipe because it is solid at temperatures below 74 degrees. If you want to try grape seed oil, I would recommend reducing the amount of grape seed oil and increasing the amount of shea butter and beeswax to help it maintain its solid shape. If it doesn’t become a solid then you can just melt it down again, maybe add more grape seed oil, and create a creamy lotion instead. If you do try substituting grape seed oil for the coconut oil, please let us know how it turns out! We would love to hear about your experience!
